Murfreesboro Aviation has been teaching in multi-engine aircraft longer than anyone else in the Nashville Metro Area. In just the last 5 years we’ve trained over 75 MEI’s (Multi-Engine Instructors), 34 Multi-Engine Commercial pilots, and 27 Multi-Engine Initial pilots. Our FIRST-TIME pass rate for Multi-Engine is 93%!
The C55 Baron doubles our Multi-Engine fleet as a complement to our Beechcraft Dutchess. Multi-Engine training is a very exciting and challenging endeavor. You need a competent and experienced instructor sitting right next to you. That is exactly what Murfreesboro Aviation offers.
Rent our Beechcraft Dutchess for $199/hour or our Beechcraft C55 Baron at $375/hour. Instructor rates are $55/hour flight or ground training. If you’re interested in flying either aircraft, you’ll have to meet minimum flight-time requirements and complete a minimum check out in the plane.

The Second new-addition to our fleet is also our second complex trainer! Joining our Piper Arrow is our Beechcraft Sierra. We conduct so much CFI initial and commercial training (64 CFI or MEI initials in the past 2 years!), that we needed a second complex aircraft in our fleet. N953ER fits that mission quite well. The Sierra rents for $165/hour.
What is our FIRST-TIME pass rate for CFI and MEI rides? 91%!! This is much higher than the national average! How do we do it? Well, we can’t give away all our secrets, but it has to do with the high quality of our senior flight instructors and the vast experience of our on-staff Designated Pilot Examiners Ben Johnson and Ken Pannell.
